The Confucius Temple in Tainan City is going to hold the 2573rd annual ceremony honoring Confucius on September 28th. The ritual will commence at 5am in the morning. For thousand of years, the ritual paying tribute to Confucius has been held before dawn. Completing the ceremony prior to sunrise commemorates Confucius’ teaching as the dawn of cultivation as well as propriety. The ceremony is comprised of ritual music and dance, which have been observed and practiced since the beginning of Chinese dynastic era. The Mayor Huang Wei-Zhe will lead the worshipping ritual on the day.

 

臺南市孔廟將於9月28日（四）上午五時舉行秋季大成至聖先師孔子2573年誕辰釋奠大典（祭孔大典）。釋奠大典將由臺南市市長黃偉哲擔任正獻官，並率領各分獻官依古禮進行。

祭孔大典千年來皆在清晨舉行，並於日出前完成各式祭儀，以此作為對孔子在道德修為和禮儀教導的遵循。相關儀式包括由編鐘、編磬、柷、敔等古樂器演奏之禮樂，以及現由忠義國小學生擔任「佾生」所表演的「佾舞」。禮樂、佾舞也都是祭孔大典歷代皆被嚴格遵守與實踐的重要傳統。

臺南市孔廟文化基金會敬邀各界人士蒞臨觀禮，並提醒參加民眾，勿著短褲拖鞋以示尊重，並請提前入場，注重服裝儀容與主辦單位的現場引導。
